Greeting in
the name of the Lord!
Oh no!
Maybe you are disappointed as you see this video. You can’t see the mountains
behind me. Today is a very cloudy day.
Also today is Super Bowl Sunday. Many people are very excited to watch football
game. Many others are not interested in watching football and they go out
shopping. Everyone has different moods.
Many times
we have cloudy days. Many times it changes our moods. We become disappointed
because we do not see the sun. As you see this video, clouds cover the
mountains and block our view of Pikes Peak.
This month
is February. There is a traditional day in that month. It is February 14th.
It is Valentine’s Day. This is when husbands and wives or boyfriends and
girlfriends show their love for each other. They express their love to others
by sending flowers, boxes of candy or greeting cards.
The key
word is LOVE.
The Bible
teaches us a lot about true love. I like to share with you three important
messages with several biblical passages.
1. GOD
LOVES YOU.
I John 4:9
tells us that God loves us by sending his son to the world to give us eternal
life. The next verse tells us that it is true love. God loves us.
2. WE
LOVE GOD BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVES US.
Mark 12:30
tells us to love God with all of our hearts. I John 4:19 tells us that we love
God because He first loved us.
3. LOVE
ONE ANOTHER AS IT IS GOD’S COMMANDMENT FOR US.
I John 4:7
says we should love each other because love comes from God. Also in verse 21 –
WE must love others.
This month
theme is “A Loving Heart.” I pray that
all of us will tell others that God loves them and so do we. Come to NCCD in Colorado Springs and find out
how God can show you how to love others.
NCCD is
seven months away. Registration will be mailed in late April. If you are
planning to come to Colorado Springs earlier before NCCD or stay longer after
NCCD, we have a list of things you can do in Colorado. Please check the long
list of places that you would like to visit.
God loves
you and I love you in Christ,
NCCD 2010 President
